Galaxy Quest is one of the Funniest & Best Parody's of Star Trek ever made! Hand's Down it is "spot on" for making fun of Star Trek in every way!!! And I loved Star Trek as a kid, and most of it's latter films! Bravo to the Entire cast!!!

He's so lovely! I love how he just sits there and casually talks about his films and himself. He truly is very generous to his fellow actors. Love this man. So sad he isn't with us anymore.

Clouds are the enduring symbol. My favorite scene is when Stevenson and Rickman watch clouds drift by and then sing THE SUN AIN'T GONNA SHINE ANYMORE..."the tears are always clouding your eyes..." Jamie gave her the cloud mobile. And the early scene with Nina and Mark, above and between them are clouds symbolizing Jamie. At the end, Nina looks out her window, sees the clouds drifting past. She shuts the window, puts Jamie's cello back in its case, turns off the light and goes to meet Mark.

There’s a need for me to watch this again… my beautiful ex loved this but didn’t share the same interest at the time. Plus Rickman is one of my all time favs.

This is the wrong format completely for interviewing Alan Rickman. Completely misjudged and poorly conducted Tim Sabastian was rubbish. The New York Times interview with him is a joy to watch.

Who would you cast to replace the unreplaceable Alan Rickman in Galaxy Quest 2?

I saw this in my 30s, rented it from the local video store. I have had a deep fondness for all of the actors in it ever since.

Keep this in mind - the same actor who brought the mysterious, intimidating Professor Snape to life also brought Alexander Dane / Dr. Lazerus to life - who was the same actor who brought to life Marvin the Paranoid Android on Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

just saw this movie for the first time yesterday, and I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard at any movie ever, mostly thanks to Alan Rickman's portrayal of this character, seriously just about every scene he is in you can see the self loathing and pity, it's got to be one of the funniest roles I've ever seen played

Has anyone done an edit of the entire film with the deleted scenes restored? Not that I know precisely where each was intended to go, but it would be wonderful to have the whole movie intact, front to back.

I love the way Rickman snatches the posters during the signing. Such a great non-verbal gag.

This is priceless from start to finish! How did they not snap in half blasting through that door backwards? And the look on Mr Rickmans face when he launched the lady backwards is priceless!
